Prophet (Pbuh) as saying: “ Make sure to have your suhoor meal, for suhoor is blessed.”
Another Hadith related by Muslim on the authority of Amr ibn Al-Aas quotes the Prophet (Pbuh) as saying: “ The difference between our fasting and that of the people of earlier revelations is the suhoor meal.”
Some of the blessings of having suhoor:
1. Helps you to get through the fasting day!
2. Makes it more unlikely for missing fajr (dawn) prayer since you’re already up.
3. Gives you the chance to do few rakaats of tahajjud prayer (late night prayer) – very recommended, especially in Ramadhan
4. Gets the family together around the table – Helps unite family
5. Helps you make a habit of getting up at night time so that fajr becomes easier after Ramadhan is over
