If we think about it, hijab, a two piece of garment that covers a Muslim woman’s entire body and head, was never an issue for anyone until quite recently. I mean, it’s just the way Muslim women dress, a thing connected to their Islamic culture, isn’t it?
Why isn’t the saree under the spotlight or the scottish kilt just like the hijab??
There’s so much misunderstanding about why women in Islam wear the hijab.
The question I want to discuss; Is hijab (higab) a legitimate issue for contention? Is it really a sign of oppression? Why do many in the West feel uncomfortable with it?
